MXPG Argentina 2026

The MXPG Argentina 2026 is the most important motocross world event to be held on March 7 and 8, 2026 in San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro. Part of the FIM Motocross World Championship (MXGP), this date is the only one in the world calendar that takes place in Latin America and gathers the best riders of the planet in an event full of adrenaline, spectacle and passion.

Circuit – Predio PITBA, Bariloche

The MXPG Argentina 2026 will be held at the PITBA venue on National Route 40, KM 2043 – San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro. This circuit was specially designed for the Motocross World Championship with international standards, located in a rugged area with ideal slopes for a high level competition. The natural environment of Patagonia, with lakes and mountains, makes this circuit a unique setting for a world championship date.

How to get to PITBA from downtown Bariloche?

  • I left from downtown San Carlos de Bariloche heading north along National Route 40.
  • Continue along Route 40 for a few kilometers until you reach KM 2043, where the entrance to PITBA is located.
  • The drive from downtown Bariloche usually takes approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic and speed (based on distance to airport area and general route).

Parking: There are parking areas at the venue, and in previous editions there have been organized parking services.

What is MXGP and how does it work?

The MXGP (FIM Motocross World Championship) is the world’s top motocross competition, regulated by the FIM since 1957. Originally known as the European Motocross Championship (1952-1957), today it has an international calendar of 20 dates plus the Motocross of Nations, with global coverage and millions of fans. In 2026, the championship celebrates its 68th edition and the MXPG Argentina 2026 is the only date of the entire calendar that takes place in America.

Competition format

  • Up to 40 pilots per category
  • More than 20 official teams per category
  • Two-day competition: Saturday is free practice and qualifying races (20 min + 2 laps) + Sunday is the warm-up and two final races per category (30 min + 2 laps each).

MXGP:

  • 2-stroke (175 cc to 250 cc)
  • 4-stroke (290 cc to 450 cc)

MX2:

  • 2-stroke (100 cc to 125 cc)
  • 4-stroke (175 cc to 250 cc)
